I know this wiki's been hit with sinister sockpuppets for years. Sockpuppets aren't against the rules, but ones that bypass blocks and break rules are. I got the below from staff. So what do you think?

"I checked the IPs for each of these usernames and it looks like they may be using a VPN. If this is the case an IP block will likely not keep them away. However, I can place some restrictions on the account to keep accounts that are not email confirmed from editing. This will affect all users, but will help keep this user and other socks away. Is this something you might be interested in on the wiki?"

I had previously proposed a longer waiting period. But unless someone objects, I see no reason to wait.

Dolphin Bluex is now tied with me in third place in Leaderboard Achievements. Those in first and second are inactive.

If there's no objection in one week from now, I intend to change Dolphin Bluex' temporary admin status to permanent, and to make Dolphin Bluex a Bureaucrat here.

There were three admins here. One is in a remote area in the Peace Corps and hadn't edited an article in over one (1) year. Another hadn't edited an article here in over seven (7) years. That left me.

I posted a notice about looking for a new admin, for a three-month trial, in Discuss. I also posted a notice on the Wall of the inactive admins, every single editor here who is in the 100+ Club (made 100+ productive edits here), and every editor who's edited here in the past three months. With the controversy this wiki has had in the past, I wanted to make certain the proposal was out there.

Dolphin Bluex is the only one who applied, and fully qualifies. If all goes well, in two months the active editors, those who edit here after this announcement, will get to decide whether or not to make the admin permanent, and to be elevated to bureaucrat status.

So keep editing, and congratulations to Dolphin Bluex!

We Need An Admin!

We currently have three admins. But one is in a remote area serving in the Peace Corps and hasn't edited an article here in over a year, and one hasn't edited an article here in over seven years and will likely be automatically removed by Fandom. So we need another admin!

We need someone who's active, who makes good contributions, and who plays well with others.

As long as they don't violate those, the person chosen would be made an admin for a three-month trial period. A decision on an extension would be made by the active users at that time.
