A-O-K Ranch House
Blue Mermaid Pond aka Yeti Pond aka Dolphin Lagoon at A-O-K Ranch
A-O-K Ranch aka Ass'O'Krap Ranch is the usual location for The Grove Gathering. According to the 9th issue of Bobby and Connie Comix, it is currently a 20 acre ranch (19.55 acres of land and barns) located at the juncture of Selangor, Nayarit, Ohio, and Texas. (Try to find that on a map. The ranch's real name and location are kept secret.) It has a large ranch house in the center, and two barns, one double-sided. (The ranch house takes up 0.44880625 acres, i.e. 19550 square feet. The ranch also has a swimming hole/pond variously called Dolphin Lagoon, Yeti Pond, or Blue Mermaid Pond.
History[]
Hannibal Shirley Dobbs was said to have first claimed the ranch in Dallas, Texas, in the late 1800s. That was with his pregnant third wife Maureen Robinson and his two offspring by his first two wives, Adamah and Heva. Hannibal was a friend of the Fugawi Indians, and legally great+ grandfather of J.R. "Bob" Dobbs. Originally from New Orleans, he had been a U.S. Army bugler and captain's assistant at Fort Courage. Hannibal built the original, smaller homestead. Later Adamah, an architect/engineer, designed a sprawling ranch house. The then 600,000-acre ranch was roughly a two-hour horse ride from Metropolis.
In the 1950s, N'Xlccx Dobbs, father of Xinucha-Chi-Xan M. Dobbs who raised "Bob", lived on the ranch which by then had been moved to Virginia from the Metropolis area by a reporter for the Daily Planet. J.R. "Bob" and Connie Marsh Dobbs were frequent visitors.
Just 20 acres of the ranch was moved back to Dallas in 1979-1980; then to Cleaver Haskell, Ohio, in 1999; then to Glen Roseola, Texas in 2017. Then, for the 2018 Grove Gathering, it was moved to its current location by its current owner De Retsim and his daughter Elppin the Sacred Chao.

A-O-K Ranch was the setting for The Grove Gathering in 2018 - 2024 (not counting the 2020 event which was held in Neverland.) As Blue Mermaid Pond was dry during the 2022 event due to a drought, it was later filled with water. When it became dry again, it was dug deeper and filled with water. The area containing the ranch house and the barns is strictly off limits during Grove Gatherings. Dolphin Lagoon aka Yeti Pond aka Blue Mermaid Pond, is not off limits. Neither are the porta potties.
