The "Battle Hymn of the SubGenius" was part of The SubGenius Hymnal used by the Early Church of the SubGenius. All copies were lost after the Early Church ended in 1975, but songs from the hymnal began to resurface including the battle hymn.
The "Battle Hymn of the SubGenius" was recovered and first performed in the 21st Century at Woodstock on the Moon in June 2019. It was performed by The Slack Gathering.
