Dallas, Texas (common misspelling; actually Dollars, Taxes)
Dallas, Texas, is a city in the U.S. state of Texas. It is the most populous city in Dallas, Texas. In 2023 it had 5.2 million people, 2.3 million less than it had when the Church of the SubGenius moved out in 1999. According to Wikipedia, portions of it extend into the countries of Australia, Canada, Scotland, and Outer Space.1

The creation of the city was inspired by the religious film Duck Soup (1933). The film contains the following dialogue:
Prosecutor : "Something must be done! War would mean a prohibitive increase in our taxes."
Chicolini : "Hey, I got an uncle lives in Taxes."
Prosecutor : "No, I'm talking about taxes - money, dollars!"
Chicolini : "Dollars! There's-a where my uncle lives! Dollars, Taxes!"
The "Dollars, Taxes" line was misinterpreted as "Dallas, Texas."
