Because of continuing problems with vandalism and hostility, IPs and brand new members to subgenius.wikia.com cannot edit this page.
A decision on this issue will be made one week from posting, on 21 October 2015, unless the Primary Users unanimously agree on elevating or not elevating The Overmind to administrator before then.
There has been a lot of conflict on this website for one main reason. There's no admin who both can prove he has years of knowledge of the Church of the SubGenius and understands and follows Wikia policy.
I propose The Overmind be elevated to both administrator and bureaucrat. I know doing both at once is quite unusual, so I'll explain. He:
- Founded this website. The only reason he was removed by Wikia staff as admin and bureaucrat was because of inactivity. But now he's back.
- Made the most edits on this site of any editor.
- Created the most articles on this site.
- Is rated first on this site by badges.
- Uploaded many images on this site complete with descriptions and rights.
- First edited on Wikia over five years ago.
- Has made thousands of edits including this site and other Wikia sites.
- Has made posts to problem editors that shows he can be diplomatic.
- Can be the one person both the long-time Wikians and long-time SubGenii can respect for his knowledge and experience.

- I changed my comment because I realized I made a mistake putting admin and bureaucrat together. Admin is a community thing while bureaucrat can only be done by Wikia Staff or Bureaucrats. I founded this wiki, wrote most of its content (many of my edits involved writing very long amounts of stuff), I can be diplomatic, and I am trying to find a way to resolve the various disputes and controversies going on here, and try and get this wiki back within a state of the elder SubGenius leadership approving of it and work to get rid of any bad blood between the 2 (or is it more than 2) sides, so that everyone is working together instead of fighting. --The Overmind (talk) 03:53, October 14, 2015 (UTC)
- FOR ADMIN, WAIT ON BUREAUCRAT. I am pleased that The Overmind is back. Assuming it is The Overmind, which it very probably is as it would take someone either getting the password or hacking into the account to post as that identity. But considering the impersonators we've had and that Wikia has just been hit with hacking, I think we should wait on bureaucrat status until we are certain. That is irreversable without direct intervention and overruling by Wikia staff which is something I think we are best to avoid. I also think these should be considered as two separate issues.
